Aquella Golf Resort and Country Club is located on Thai Muang Beach, 40 minutes north of Phuket Airport, overlooking the Andaman Sea. The 177-hectare site includes a complete redesign and reconstruction of the former Thai Muang Golf Club, as well as villas and a hotel. Work on the new course began in 2018 by Pacific Coast Design Australia and is scheduled to open in 2020.

Some of the new holes follow the original layout, but have been completely rebuilt, with designers adding a thick layer of sand to each to ensure the course drains well even after heavy rain. The course winds through gently rolling terrain, sometimes venturing into the casuarina trees that line the beach. The course is designed as a resort course and therefore suitable for golfers of all skill levels

The 11th which is a 186-yard par-three is the new signature hole.  Here golfers tee off towards the Andaman Sea and the beach front. Depending on which tee you use gives you a completely different perspective and challenge 

The contemporary clubhouse restaurant overlooks the golf course and looks out across the Andaman Sea.
