Krung Kavee Golf Course
The Krung Kavee Golf and Country Club is just 40 minutes from central Bangkok and is a convenient golfing venue for those staying in Thailand's capital.
Suvarnabhumi Airport, better known as Bangkok Airport, is one of the best airports in the world. It has direct connections to most of the world, including European and other Asian cities. It's also just a stone's throw away from the US, making Bangkok a great place for a golf holiday in Thailand.
When it comes to golf courses in the Bangkok area, you'll be spoiled for choice, and Krung Kavee is a favorite among tourists and locals alike.

While many golfers focus solely on their game, Krung Kavee is known in Thailand for his environmentally friendly approach to golf. It is the only golf course in Thailand that uses biodynamic farming as a means of maintenance. Basically, this means that Krung Kavee does not use harmful chemicals and toxins when maintaining golf courses, but opts for biodynamics, and the results are excellent.
Designed by Japanese golf course architect Manabu Sakamoto, Krung Kavee plays at a length of 7,082 yards, in keeping with many of his other designs around the world. Sakamoto is known for designing long golf courses and Krung Kavee does not disappoint in this regard.
Krung Kavee has an abundance of water features, with only two of the 18 holes without water. As you hit the first tee, you'll encounter water on the left and right sides of the fairway. There are also bunkers on the right side of the fairway and the green is protected by a bunker on the front left.

If you wondered what to expect during a round at Krung Kavee before you started, the first hole will leave you in no doubt. The next nine holes contain water until the par 3 10th where you will find that drinking water is not an issue.
Speaking of par 3s, Krung Kavee has an excellent island hole that came out early in the round. The 9th hole is 190 yards from the back tee, but as with all holes at Krung Kavee, you can choose from four different tee positions. Despite being an island hole, the green on the 9th hole is large enough that most players can easily land the ball on the putt face.
Thanks to a quality underground drainage system, Krung Kavee is able to withstand heavy rains and remain open during Bangkok's rainy season. With neat changing rooms and a Rangsit Kitchen serving a variety of Thai, Japanese and international cuisine, Krung Kavee is a great place to play a round of golf near Bangkok, with the added bonus of being eco-friendly.
