Bangkok golf courses

Green Valley Golf Club

Green Valley Country Club Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is conveniently located near Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport, although it is set in a beautiful landscape covered with mature trees and shrubs in the landscape.
There are some very challenging holes, including some long water diversions on the two No. 9 tees. Undulating fairways mean you'll often play from a hang position or put the ball under your body, and some greens are hidden behind large hills. Strategically placed bunkers and rolling greens add to the difficulty of this challenging course.

Undulating fairways mean you'll often play from a hang position or put the ball under your body, and some greens are hidden behind large hills. Strategically placed bunkers and rolling greens add to the difficulty of this challenging course.
The challenge starts as early as the second hole, a long par 5 with water on the left and a fairway bunker on the right - much safer than trying to advance on both holes. The fifth is another fun par 5 where you need to flirt with the water hazard on the right to get into position - if you try to get in both it's a water filled green very close to the edge of the lake. The 6th hole is a great par 3 that rewards those brave enough to bring the water directly onto the green, but there is a relief area to the left for those who don't want to try that shot. The par four eighth hole requires two solid shots to get into two, the shortest course is guarded by a series of bunkers, the driveway is protected but open on the left and there is a safe place to short it away on the right . Finish the front nine with classic risk and reward holes.
To get off the tee, you need to get close to the bunker that protects the left side of the fairway - too far to the right and you have a long way over the water to access the bunker with water in front.

A very tough par 4 to start the back nine as a large bunker protects the left side of the fairway and the entrance to the green is well protected by some deep bunkers. The par-five 11th is not for the faint of heart, and anyone hoping to get to the par-two hole will need to position their tees between the lake and the bunkers. Even if you play normally, you still need to hit good shots across the lake and onto the narrow greens with bunkers behind them. The 12th hole is another par 3 with water below the putting face. To the left of the sixteenth hole is a lake waiting to catch missed tee shots, which also borders the left side of the green. More trouble at the par-3 17th, with water left of the green, and then a brutal par-5.

The landing area in front of the tee has water to the left and bunkers to the right, the second is the opposite problem with water to the right and bunkers to the left, and if that wasn't enough, the green is right on the edge of the lake.
However, if you've lost more golf balls than you'd like, the very comfortable clubhouse is the perfect place to let your grief pass in a relaxed, gorgeous setting. If a cold beer isn't for you, a jacuzzi or Thai massage can do the same.
