Khao Kheow Country Club is a scenic 27-hole golf course located between two valleys, just off the main road, about an hour's drive from Pattaya. The golf course is in excellent condition and the fast greens are very difficult to see. Unlike many other courses in the area, Khao Kheow Country Club has a wide range of elevation changes, resulting in fairly long playing times on the course.



As with many of Pete Dye's designs, there is an emphasis on course management, not only against the prevailing breezes, but also in the many water hazards, bunkers, hills and mounds that line the superb fairways. The greens are littered with bumps and bumps that make every putt challenging, but they're often true, so if you take the right line, you'll be rewarded.

The penultimate and signature hole is a par 3 with a mandatory island green in front of the hill, which is unforgettable. The par 5 2nd hole will get your heart racing as you tee off from the elevated tee onto the winding fairway. Assuming you can avoid the huge bunkers and runoff areas, your second shot will need to be over the raised bunkers around the landing area to give you a chance to reach the undulating green.



An impressive clubhouse is spoilt by inadequate locker facilities but as you view the course from the restaurant whilst sipping a cold beer this will be forgotten.
