Krungthep Kreetha is one of the closest golf courses to central Bangkok and one of the oldest, so it has many tall, old trees. The square is popular with locals due to its rich history and accessibility, and can get very busy on weekends.

The course was extensively modernized and redesigned by James Vaughn in the early 1980s. The new, more challenging layout and better use of the many water hazards, combined with numerous out-of-bounds opportunities, make this a strategic course that requires a straight shot to score.



Almost all holes have water hazards or out-of-bounds on one or both sides of the fairway. The greens are also well protected by green bunkers and accurate approach shots are a must to get a good position on the greens. The par 3 holes are short, but the greens are small and difficult to hold.

The newly refurbished Krungthep Kreetha clubhouse is spacious, well equipped and has an excellent Thai restaurant.
