Bangkok golf courses

Lotus Valley Golf Resort

Lotus Valley Golf Resort is a superb course originally designed by Gary Player but redesigned and redesigned by John Morrow and Craig Bertram and now has one of the best laid out courses of any golf course in Bangkok. The only potential downside is that it's one of the furthest places from the city, at least an hour from the airport, and longer during rush hour.

Lotus Valley Golf Resort was originally designed by Gary Player of South Africa to exacting standards. He prefers a Scottish experience, with narrow fairways and water on most holes. While the course has undergone a major redesign, its core remains Gary Player's design and the course has been upgraded to meet the demands of the modern game. The greens complex has been redesigned by the new design team and the result is excellent playing conditions and a challenging course that is visually beautiful and above all very fun.

Designers have taken great care to ensure that the golf course is suitable for golfers of all skill levels, with each hole offering either a safer path to the greens or a more challenging option for those chasing birdies.

For the first nine holes, hole selection includes the par-3 third hole, which requires water to be brought to the green protected by a large bunker. The 6th place is rated as the hardest on the course, no wonder, the left side is full of water, numerous bunkers waiting to catch the ball, and then close to the green between the two bunkers. Hole 7 is no joke either - a long, narrow par 5 with water protection to the left of the green. The eighth hole is another classic par 3, rushing from the tee to the narrow green.

If you find the fairways off the tee, the back nine makes sense to start with, as a series of bunkers await every slight putt. The 11th is a long par 4 with two large fairway bunkers protecting the sides, and the 12th is the easiest par 3 on the course, provided you choose the right clubs. The next challenge is the 13th hole, a very long par 4 with water all over the left hand side and a well protected green. The 17th hole is a brutal par 3 that will require a driver for many of us and has the potential to ruin your card with a huge bunker from tee to green. As if that wasn't enough, there's a monster par 5 at the end.

Whether you're looking for reliability or risk, you can approach the hole your way, taking the safe route, or taking the riskier route with plenty of birdies and bogeys.
The locker rooms feature Japanese style baths, and the clubhouse offers gourmet cuisine for an hour or two to unwind after a game. There is a cashless policy, which means you need to register to buy drinks, snacks and golf balls

The creative layout of Lotus Valley Golf Resort is the perfect balance of traditional design, up-to-date golf course preparation and exceptional maintenance.
