Majestic Creek Country Club is located at the foot of the mountain approximately 20 kilometers inland from Hua Hin and has been completely renovated and modernized. This 27-hole course is now one of the best layouts in Hua Hin. Improvements are in progress and you may experience some renovations.
Many tees require solid shots to avoid the water hazards located in front of the numerous tees, and the tee-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers will punish any unpredictable shots.
Course A, also known as the Creek Course, starts out as a fairly easy par 4, but the second course is more challenging, with a deep ditch in front of the green that swallows up any unhit fairways. Hole 3, another par 4, has bunkers on both sides of the narrow landing, but if you can avoid them, the green opens up. The 4th hole is the first of the par 3 holes and depending on which tee you play it has water most of the way from the tee to the green with a bunker on the right. Hole 5 is the first hole of the par 5 and is rated as the most difficult hole. It is a long dogleg hole to the left with water in front of the tee and again across the front of the green. You won't have much trouble on this course until you get to the 9th hole, a sharp straight dogleg with water in front of the tee and a large bunker guarding the tiger line.
Course B at the Majestic Creek Country Club is the Lakes Course, starting on a very intimidating tee and going across the lake to a wide landing area - those who are long enough and brave enough will be rewarded with an easy approach. The third is a beautiful par 3 with a huge bunker in front and to the right of the green. The 4th hole is a tough par 5 with well placed bunkers protecting the landing and around the green. The par 4 sixth hole is a great hole, with water easily reaching the tees, but if you can dog-leg you can make a tempting shot on the tiered greens. There is a great finisher hole to this nine - a 590 yard par 5 that requires precision tee shots if you want to get over the water hazards that protect the sloping greens.
The freshly laid greens at Majestic Creek Country Club are immature, hard to keep you close to and surprisingly fast. The fairways are in good condition and some slips are expected in dry conditions. At the time of writing, the C course is closed for renovations.
The clubhouse has been completely renovated and offers everything you would expect including equipment rentals, a pro shop and an al fresco restaurant offering a variety of food and beverages. Good practice facilities including putting greens, chipping greens and driving range. Unusually, they allow shared strollers.
