Don't expect great service, but the classes are decent enough and definitely worth the 2 hour drive.





Hidden in the hills near Khao Sok National Park, you'll stumble upon the Rajjaprabha Dam Golf Course, one of Thailand's best-kept golfing secrets due to its remote location (accessible by ferry from Koh Samui, which meant to last most of the day). It is a stunning landscape layout cut from the dense jungle, reminiscent of the ecological diversity of Thailand's tropical forests and landscapes; last but not least, a wonderful view from the first tee view.

The course is great fun to play, that is, if you like a challenge - there are some difficult holes, especially the par 3s. Even the shortest 165-yard No. 6 is no easy feat. The difference in altitude makes club selection difficult and not easy.





Don't expect easy tee shots on the par 5, especially on the 542-yard No. 7 course, where your shot requires a 180-yard drive across the creek to a bunker-plenty landing. The next two shots are uphill, around the dogleg hole to the green, which is protected by another pond that has swallowed countless balls.

The clubhouse is fairly basic but functional, but the restaurant's local food is excellent and a perfect way to end the day. While the drive to get there is long, the journey itself is scenic and overall, definitely worth it for the stunning surroundings and fun golfing challenge at the Rajjaprabha Dam Golf Course.
