Royal Bang Pa-in Golf Club is located in the north of the capital Bangkok. It takes just over an hour from the hotel in the city center to the Royal Bang Pa-in Golf Club. Royal Bang Pa-in Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course 7,052 yards from the back tee. The par 72 course has several features, with water being the main obstacle. It doesn't always play a role on every hole, but on very unpredictable shots, you can see the water on every one of the 18 holes.

On the first four holes, for example, the water runs down the right side of each hole, but you have to stray some distance from the fairway or green to notice your ball is wet. However, this quickly changed starting at the 9th hole, where the fairway was separated by water. The same applies to the 15th hole and the par 3 14th, the greens on the island are very dangerous, especially when there is a little wind.

Unlike many other golf courses in the Bangkok area, Royal Bang Pa-in Golf Club is characterized by elevation changes, with a 7-meter difference between the lowest and highest points of the golf course. This difference in elevation makes sound strategy and club selection very important and adds to the overall test of the course.

The greens are also choppy and fast, so care must be taken when approaching the putting face. Leave yourself at the wrong height or downhill putts and you may struggle to make two putts on the greens, some of which are considered the largest in all of Asia.



However, the fairways are hard and fast, meaning you can bounce and roll off the tees. When the ball lands on the fairway, it may fly farther than intended, so keep this in mind when estimating distance.

The clubhouse features a stunning modern design with changing rooms, restaurant and pro shop. There are 17 shower rooms and the restaurant serves a selection of Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Western dishes overlooking the golf course.
