Summit Green Valley Chiang Mai is a challenging world-class lowland golf course in beautiful surroundings and in excellent condition, located on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, approximately 20 minutes from the city centre. Although close to the city, this Chiang Mai golf club has a beautiful setting with many mature trees and native plants.



While the fresh air and mountain views can put your mind at ease, if you want to hit a handicap, you need to be at your best, especially on the back tees. The wide fairways may look inviting, but if you stray a bit off the fairway, the well-placed water hazards and fairway bunkers are there to catch you. If you do get lost, you are likely to get lost among the many palm trees that line the course, which will inevitably short you out as you may have no choice but to play sideways.

The greens are fairly spacious with good support, but when it's windy it's hard to get there as prescribed.



Holes that stand out include the par -5 5th which requires some decision making from the tee especially for long hitters who may appreciate the chance of carrying a bunker which you will have the opportunity to reach if negotiated Green hole number two. The other is a par 4 9th, where you'll be teeing off water with shaky knees while avoiding the bunkers that line the fairway. Your approach is just as horrible, you have to carry more water to get to the elevated island green.
