Pinnacle Windmill Golf Club Bangkok is a beautiful, very rural course covering over 160 hectares, although it is close to the city, it has been carefully designed to give you a country feel. There are only a handful of holes on the course that are free from water, and many holes have water all the way to one side of the fairway, mostly on the left side with bunker guards on the opposite side. If you're inclined to hook the ball, you're in for a long day! One of the best golf courses in Bangkok.



Nick Faldo is known for designing long, difficult courses, and the tee hole is just that, it stretches 624 yards from the back tee, along the water on the left hand side to the green, where you have to cross a small Brook, get ready to swallow your second shot. Hole 2 is a very nice par 3 with a water hazard protecting the left side of the fairway and running along the left side of the green - best to aim for the center of the green. On hole 4, 3, you drive from the island tee to an open landing and face another approach shot with water protecting the left side of the green. Hole 4 is a longer par 3 but the green is fairly open with a generous landing in front in case you miss the tee. The 6th par 4 hole is rated as the hardest hole on the course and requires a long tee shot to have a chance of reaching the regular greens - a creek crossing in front of the green adds to the challenge of this huge hole.

One of the signature holes on the front nine of the Pinnacle Windmill Golf Club in Bangkok is the 8th, a par 4 with a large lake on one side, surrounded by a large beach-style bunker and several other well-placed holes along the fairway bunker. Hole 9, another typical hole on this course, is an easy dogleg with a long run of water from the tee and you have to decide how many doglegs you dare to end with relatively easy approaches and possible danger in the drink.



The back nine starts off a little easier, but beware of the par 4 11th, a dangerous dogleg hole with water protecting the right side of the fairway for changing shots and a long beach bunker next to it. The 12th hole is a short par 3 with an almost island green, making what should be an easy fairway even more challenging. There are plenty of bunkers on the 13th hole, including a huge one off the tee that is in perfect position to catch every miss. The 14th hole is an average length par 5 with the usual left bank protection and a narrow landing with a very large and strategically placed bunker. Hole 16 also has a water hazard that borders the fairway, which in turn is bordered by a sandy bunker extending from the tee to the green, and a set of bunkers protecting the right side of the fairway. The 17th hole is a great par 3 with an oversized sand bunker protecting the front of the green.

Pinnacle Windmill Golf Club Bangkok is ideal for golfers of all levels, all you have to do is choose the tee that suits your skill level. Evening golf is also an option if you can leave work early and tee off in the late afternoon. The golf course is close to town and can get busy, especially on weekends. So it's better to play during the week if you have the option
