The Emerald Golf Club is one of the most beautiful but perhaps underrated golf courses in the Pattaya area, tucked away in the forests and mountains near Rayong, and has some fantastic holes designed by two golf gurus. The course is currently for sale so maintenance is inconsistent but still a very enjoyable day out.



The course is very challenging with narrow fairways and bumps and dips throughout the course. Water obstacles also make some holes very challenging. Unlike most local courses, you won't find much water here, the designers rely on narrow fairways and strategically placed bunkers to protect the course, and on many holes, you're better off keeping your driver in your bag

You'll have to choose your way on the many fairways as the course has many obstacles that don't leave much room for error. Due to the current transition, you'll find the fairways and one green need attention, and some bunkers are inconsistent - sometimes dry, sometimes wet.

After a fairly easy start, the course gradually becomes more difficult and steeper. So if it's not for you, we recommend a dirt bike. If you can hit your handicap on this course, you're probably playing well.



Emerald Golf Club has not changed much since it was built and has a small but very comfortable open-air clubhouse where you can obtain a cold beer and a good meal. Showers are locker room are adequate but don’t expect too much but at least the showers are hot. You will also find a small pro shop and a driving range. The friendly staff and excellent caddies add to the overall positive experience.
Whatever happens Emerald Golf Club is a wonderful layout which requires careful course management
