Bangkok's Windsor Park and Golf Club is a 36-hole layout consisting of four different No. 9 holes, located in the east of Bangkok, about 90 minutes from the city center. A very mature golf course with many mature trees and colorful native plants plus everything you would expect from a classic park course with tree lined fairways, water hazards and plenty of bunkers.



The original three nine-hole layout (Lagoon, Palms and Gardens) is very similar, but the recently added lakeside nine is very different and more challenging. The course isn't that long, but there are plenty of water obstacles to keep you on your toes, so it's important not to stray too far off course. The greens are very accurate but slow compared to some other golf courses in Bangkok.

Nearly 7,000 yards in length, the combined Lagoon and Palm Course meanders through a classic Thai landscape, with palm-lined fairways dotted with stunning water hazards. And fairly well protected greens. The classic sight of a tee is usually a wide fairway with a protective bunker on one side and a lurking water hazard on the other.

In addition to greenside bunkers, many holes have to carry water to the putting face, and you'll encounter occasional elevation changes, uneven lies and shallow rough. Many holes feature a real wild shot that lands on an adjacent fairway to get you back in the game without penalty. A memorable hole is the third hole on the Palm, with its many bunkers from tee to green.



As mentioned above, Lakeside Nine is a much more difficult fairway and sits next to the edge of a large man-made lake, so hitting the ball accurately is crucial and high handicap golfers are advised to play more. The greens are also more challenging, full of subtle bumps and indentations that most golfers find quite a challenge. For high handicappers, it may be better to avoid this course.

Although the original clubhouse is aging, the courses are in fairly good condition, but the service is up to par with a good selection of western and Thai food. Caddies are usually very good, but we recommend a more experienced caddy to show you around.
